Join Sara Rawlinson, Art Photographer, and other Cambridge Open Studios members, as they talk about how you can bring your creativity to the world. Opening a studio doesn’t have to be complicated yet it can bring great things to your community. There’s a thriving art photography community in Cambridge and it’s fuelled by a passion for sharing creativity with everyone. 

Sara chairs this panel discussion that will give you some inspiring reasons to create your own studio, and share tips to help you make this a reality for you and your photography!

Robin.
Panelist – Robin Stemp

Robin is an art photographer and writer who used to be an art journalist with a love of painting. She’s now an art photographer and has been a member of Cambridge Open Studios for more years than she can remember. Robin has her own studio at home in Cambridge and thinks like an artist whenever she’s taking her next shot.

Panellist – Vilokini Gail Abbott 

Vilokini worked for many years as a stylist and writer. She worked on home interior features for magazines such as Homes & Gardens, Homes & Antiques, and The World of Interiors. She’s a photographer and a member of Cambridge Open Studios. In 2008 she was given the Buddhist name Vilokini – ‘She who looks, sees, who contemplates and is aware,’ a name she continually works to live up to.

Mark Alvarez
Panellist – Mark Alvarez

Mark is a photographer based in central Cambridge. He has always loved black and white fine art photography. In his own work, he has diverse interests, including classic cars, though he has a passion for Cambridge and for the British coastline. He particularly enjoys creating atmospheric, evocative, minimalist long-exposure images of the coast; its lighthouses, sea defences, quays and piers.
