Vilokini Gail Abbott
Vilokini worked for many years as a stylist and writer. She worked on home interior features for magazines such as Homes & Gardens, Homes & Antiques, and The World of Interiors. She’s a photographer and a member of Cambridge Open Studios. In 2008 she was given the Buddhist name Vilokini – ‘She who looks, sees, who contemplates and is aware,’ a name she continually works to live up to.
Vilokini’s photography showcase – Abandoned Places – explores the beauty of things impermanent, imperfect and incomplete. She explores the textures and muted colours of once pristine walls of largely abandoned buildings.
