What to expect during 16th & 22nd November

What to expect during </br> 16th & 22nd November

We’re really looking forward to Cambridge Photography Week. And, with a whole host of content in the pipeline, we hope you are too.

Campkins Cameras have been part of the Cambridge high street since the 1800s and on King’s Parade since 1952 so we’ve been doing all we can to take on the challenges that COVID-19 have thrown at us.

That’s why we’ve created the first-ever Cambridge Photography Week for photographers of all abilities. We’ve organised the Cambridge Photography Show since 2018 but decided 2020 had to be different for the safety of attendees. So we’ve turned it into a week dedicated to content and conversations about photography. Learn from experts, be inspired, watch demos and, of course, get great deals. All online.

And, in this current climate, we’re grateful for Canon, Sigma, Sony, Olympus and Fuji for being our sponsors and partners of the week.

What’s happening between the 16th & 22nd November?

Plenty is going on during the week. We’re finalising the content at the moment but I wanted to give you a sneak preview of what to expect.

Our sponsors have done a great job getting their experts involved in the content for the week. We are also working with Anglia Ruskin University to showcase some photographic projects from their students and staff. Local photographers will also be presenting some of their work and providing tips. And I will be chatting with some local business that may be of interest to photographers like you.

Macro wildlife photography, cityscapes, portraits, landscapes turning professional. Our sponsors are pulling out the stops for the week’s content.

Macro wildlife photography, cityscapes, portraits [one for humans and one for pets!] the people skills behind great portraiture, landscape photography in North Devon, turning professional…our sponsors are pulling out the stops for the week’s content.

We’ve also got some great presentations about photography in Cambridge and, further afield, from local photographers and Anglia Ruskin University.

We will share the schedule of activity when it’s finalised so sign up to keep up to date.

What formats will the content be in?

These will be a collection of live and recorded videos that we will be publishing daily between 16th and 22nd November.

We’ll also be running a photography competition with a great prize: A Canon EOS M6 II Digital Camera with 15-45, IS STM Lens. Sign up and we’ll share more information about the competition before 16th November.

Staff and students from Anglia Ruskin University will showcase some of their photographic projects.

Where can I watch Cambridge Photography Week?

Each day you will be able to watch content on the Cambridge Photography Week Facebook Page and we will also be adding it all here on the Cambridge Photography Week website.

Local photographers will share their projects and provide hints and tips.

What do I have to do to take part?

All you have to do is sign up and we’ll do the rest.

Each day we will send you an update of what’s happening. And don’t worry about missing a session, it will all be available on demand here on the Cambridge Photography Week website.

Sign up for free and share with your friends and family

If you’ve signed up already, me and the team would like to thank you. Don’t forget to share.

If you’re not signed up yet, it’s free, and we welcome you to the Cambridge Photography Week.

Thanks and stay safe.

It would be nice to showcase over the next month a series of ten photos…
A walk around my place?

There are going to be some very interesting opportunities as we go through this second lockdown. I will be walking Cambridge and St Neots for sure looking for THAT capture.
