Josh Hellon – Monitoring & Research Manager at Wildlife Trust BCN
Josh Hellon shows how drone technology is being used to help with the Trust’s conservation work. The talk will cover how the Trust map habitats, take landscape photos and HD video at numerous wildlife sites. Josh will try to dispel a few myths about drones and show how they can be safely used to give us a birds eye view of nature reserves.

Josh has over 15 years’ experience of aquatic and terrestrial ecology specialising in the development of monitoring protocols and survey programmes. Josh oversees the strategic development and delivery of the Trust’s ecological monitoring and research activity, raising the profile of this activity to a wide audience. Josh has been a commercial drone pilot for the past eight years, and leads on all drone work at the Trust.
