From the team at Wild Arena

Join us for an entertaining and informative evening session with Wild Arena for a ‘Live’ run- through of studio macro photography. The guys will be looking at choice of macro lenses, reproduction ratios, accessories and how to tackle the question of lighting your subjects. They will also be shooting images as they go along of the amazing creatures in their own animal collection. With subjects like Geckos, Tree Frogs and Praying Mantis there should be lots to interest anyone in this fascinating area of photography. They will also be taking live questions from viewers and offering advice on any issues people might have with their own close-up photography.

Wild Arena has been working with Canon and other industry partners for nearly 15 years. Wild Arena was founded in 2003, by a small group of experienced professionals with a long-standing background in photography and natural history.  The whole team has a passion for photography, animals and passing on their knowledge to inspire other photographers. Their aim is to provide workshops, training and tours, which guests will enjoy so much, they will want to come back again. Whilst they offer events right across the country, they are based in the heart of Knowsley Safari Park and with their own dedicated natural history macro studio.

Canon Live – Autumn in Lapland (including landscapes, wildlife and The Aurora)

Everyone thinks the best time to go to Lapland is either in the Winter for the Northern Lights or in the Summer for the midnight sun. But the Autumn with the combination of fantastic Autumn colours, the ice starting to form, snow on the mountains and of course autumn Auroras make it a fantastic time to visit with many photographic opportunities. During this talk, Oliver Wright will take you through some of his adventures and best photographic moments with a mixture of landscape, macro, wildlife and astrophotography
